Removing the 9 thousand little screws holding the cover itself on was a PITA. another hour.

Thanks for your answer, I will try it next weekend!
I saw your car transformation, GOOD WORK!!!!.
I also want to change my automatic transmission to manual transmission. ¿How much money did you spend on it?.
And the price of the turbo?.
Thanks for your time and best regards from Spain.

The 6spd swap will cost between $1600-1800. The supercharger can be done for under $2000. I've got more into the car than its worth.. hands down.

That will give you enough room to put your hand and arm through the license plate frame opening and reaching in behind the tail lamp housings (small hands and arms will help here!!)
Each of the lamp housings are held in by 2 10mm nuts. You should be able to feel them. Starting with the inboard lamp, remove the nuts using a 1/4" drive socket and gently push the housing out of the rear facia. Remove the socket. With the inside lamp out, it will be easy to get to the nuts holding the outboard lamp housings.
You will probably find that the bulbs are stuck in place in the socket. GM used a dielectric grease to keep moisture out of the socket and this grease will have dried up over time. The bulb may shatter or break when you try to remove the bulb. Use some pliers to remove the bulb base.
Clean the old grease out and carefully clean the metal contacts. When you install a new bulb, put a light coat of dielectric grease on the socket and install the bulbs. It would be worth it to replace all 4 bulbs at one time.
