Default Replacing underhood vacuum hoses ?

Hi all - I have replaced most of the old dry cracked vacuum hoses under the hood of my 1991 L98 automatic coupe, but there is one line giving me trouble.

It's connected to (I think) the power brake vacuum booster, when I try to reach down to pull it off the one unseen end, instead of a solid resistance it feels like I am pulling on a "bellows" of some kind.

Is it safe to just pull until the line comes off (what I assume must be a fitting down there? can't see it...) or do I need to dismount the power brake vacuum booster from the firewall completely?

Thanks!!

On my L98 the vacuum line off the booster goes to the back corner of the intake plenum. It meets with a hard line about 10 inches before the intake. It's clearly visible.

If the hose you're tugging on is not damaged, just leave it alone before you break something trying to force it off.

Default I

can see the plenum end, the hose is dry rotted and falling apart so I want to replace it, I just can't see the end that goes down under the vacuum reservoir/booster...that's the end I need to know if anything will be hurt by pulling on it...thanks!
