I'm pretty sure my water pump is about to take a **** on me and was curious about how many hours a shop would say it takes to put it in. Any help would be appreciated!
Also I noticed you can get the Delco for under $50. Any other choices I should look at for around the same price? It doesn't matter right? A pumps a pump of course of course?
Labor is around 5 hours to install. All the stuff on the front of the motor is pretty much in the way. I do not know, if there is a certain pump thats better than others. Maybe someone on here has found one.
I am not a professional mechanic and I could not remove and install a new water pump in 5 hours If you are interested in a good used original Delco water pump (with 40,000 miles), you can have it for shipping cost. I replaced the original water pump because I was repainting the engine parts and it was easy to do with the engine parts off the car
