Stock will probably work just fine for your daughter unless she uses the car for track days or auto-x. Generally overheating is just due to age and debris in the radiator and a/c condensor fins. You'll also want to make sure both fans turn on.

If you want to upgrade, my vote is for the DeWitt.

We live in the desert and it gets hot, I will consider an upgrade, I plan on changing the thermo to a 160, but what would be a good water pump to use? It makes sense to change the water pump also with the rad out.
