OK, I hear that the idle speed is not supposed to be adjustable in teh 1989 LT1 350.
Just replaced the throttle body with a 52 mm one with the air foil and the lowest RPM I can get it to is 800 with the idle set screw just contacting the throttle linkage plate. Also adjusted the throttle valve to .54 volts.
Does anyone know of a way to lower the idle speed? I read that 450 rpm is the correct speed.
Check it out. Lars's write up doesn't mention to disconnect the EST wire, but it should be done for best results. Here's a blurb from the manual. http://members.shaw.ca/agent86/TB-TPS%2bMin-Idle.pdf
The tan/stripe EST wire/connector is beside the brake booster (engine side)
