'94 Backfires
I have a '94 LT1 with long tube headers, stock '95 Firebird LT1 engine (original is being worked on) and converted it from an auto to ZF 6 speed. It has a stock 6 speed .bin for the computer program.
The car backfires loud at the end of the exhaust, mufflers I think. I'm not sure exactly when this started, I think it was after the auto to 6 speed conversion. Or it may have been after I bottomed out real hard one day.
I'm thinking it might be a damaged cat from bottoming out, or fuel mix too rich, possible O2 sensor damage. Anything else I should check out?
It usually does it when I am slowing down if that means anything.
