That would be helpful, thank you! I didn't see a way to take off the belt retract cover.

Can you keep a lap belt and use shoulder harnesses through the seat?

Aard, sorry if this is a stupid question but what exactly do you mean by shaved? As it happens I'm looking at putting seats in my car right now and the A4's are the leading contender... EVO3 and torino 2's are in the running.(recommendations?)

I'm 6'2" and 240. I'm concerned that I'm too big for the noraml sized seat.

Yeah how comfortable are these compared to the stock seats?

There are seats out there that will accomodate a 42" waist. The Corbeau FX1 Wide and Forza Wide are examples. The Sparco seats will work too but the trick with these seats is to make sure they will fit in the car. With C4's, the e-brake assembly may have to be removed. The critical measurement is at the front part of the seat.

By shaved they took out height where you sit, by cutting down the height of the base. The seat is the same overall height but you sit 1.5" lower.

The A4 shows as 19.5" wide and the fit is very tight, Maybe 20" would fit but nothing past that. If you removed the stock seat belt retract box then there would be lots more room.

The stock seat belt works fine right now. My plan is to install the harness bar for track events only. I will leave the harnesses installed and tucked out of the way if possible for street use. I'd rather not remove the harnesses after each event.

I'm about 6'3" and fit in these seats nicely. They are comfortable! I think the seat base is less cushy then the stockers.
