I just spoke with Speed Demon Motorsports. He doesn't
have any more C4 shifters in stock. He also said that he can
not get any more. Evidently Hurst has stopped production of
the C4 shifter in order to ramp up there production of the C5 shifter.

I cannot believe they are not producing more c4 shifters, I just saw an add in vette magazine for it. Email Chris Rheinhart her on the forum, he invenetd it and knows the least expensive place to get it.
If they did stop production they are making a mistake its a great shifter.

They have only paused production. It will be back. It might only be a week or so also! I have called quite a few people and they are all saying the same thing. Even the large catalog guys are out and cannot reorder at this time. Believe me. I am not going to send customers away. If I could order more I would tell them that I could have it to them in around a week! :)

199? How do those guys stay in business? They're a bunch of yokels. After seeing the way they compose themselves on the forum, and from the ridiculous pricing, I hope no one decides to buy from them. :(

Chris, I received my Hurst shifter today and it looks great. Thanks for the quick service and I'll talk to you more about the electric water pump. I need to know if the pump will clear a camber brace.

I believe Speed Demon Motorsports was confused. C4 Hurst shifters are immediately available from Hurst, a bunch in stock and more on order. This shifter won't be going away any time soon.
The $199 price mentioned in this post from LAPD is definitely incorrect, more likely for the C5. Jobber price for this unit is $140, and this shifter can be gotten for less than that at many places. If you cannot find a source, email me.
The current confusion often seen is in regard to the C5 unit, which has been exceptionally delayed. Often the problem stems from customers not indicating whether they are inquiring about the C4 or C5 Hurst shifter, and the dealer makes the wrong assumption. But the C4 unit is going strong and readily available at proper sources.
