Default easy lowering question

so i have the longer bolts yet each side is completely way off frmo one another but the height looks the same? less threads showing at the bottom of the bolt = higher or lower?

i thought lower but then this wouldnt make much sense because i want my rear a lil lower than it is but is impossible because the nut is pretty much on the very bottom of the bolt.

Lower the nut, you lower the body over suspension. To level mine, left to right, I also had to have my nuts in different postions.

Don't forget to go for a drive between adjustments. It takes a while for the suspension to settle.

ok sweet thanks.

one more question though.. is there something wrong with one side of my car then? one nut is completely at the bottom so does this mean i cant lower my car anymore? i wanted it a little lower than it is... i have seen vettes on here lower with just the bolt but there looks to be no way possible with what i have on my car now?

I have only about 3/8'' difference in nut location. Yours seems extreme. Have you driven it around to let it settle.

That IS extreme in the difference between the two bolts. I would first make sure that the upper rubber bushing for the longer bolt side is in place and in good shape. If both upper bushings are good, then I'd measure both bolts and make sure that they are of the same length. The top of that bolt goes through a mount on the top of the rear suspension knuckle. You have the bolt head, a washer, a bushing, which feed through the top of the knuckle, that bolt goes down and through the rear spring, followed by a bushing, a washer and then the nut. Somewhere in that mix, you either have a bad bushing, a piece missing, or a longer bolt. OR, a problem with the knuckle mounting hole, but that is on the extreme end of the spectrum. Goodluck!

I can't really tell from the picture, but check the shim placement in the center of the spring, make sure they're where they should be and also check that the spring is centered. I kinda looks like it might be sticking out further on the passenger side.
