Hotcam
What are the specs of the GM Hotcam, and why do people get so wet and gooey over them? Are they that much better than say a Compcams or Crane or even an LPE or ZZ-(x or 9)? Or am I missing somthing? Please explain.

The Hot cam is a factory designed cam for the LT4 and performs very well. Its cheaper than the other cams you listed. The lift vs duration is milder so its easier on the valvetrain. Compcams extreme energy cams have very aggressive profiles and are very hard on valve seats based on some of the very knowledgeable tuner's experiences with them.
