Hood for '84 Vette

I just purchased an '84 Vette and it needs a new hood. I have been told that an '85 hood will not fit. Why is this? What hoods will fit? Thanks!

The 84 hood has ducting specific for the CFI air intake, the 85 hood doesn't but it also will not clear the air cleaner assy for the CFI...

So, I believe only the 84 hood will fit without modification!

I am located in Wisconsin. Don't suppose you would be interested in shipping?

I don't even think the hood that is on my car now is the right one.

I drove down to Romeoville, IL yesterday and picked up that hood. Thanks for the post geist! Did you get that exhaust system?

not yet... theres 2 in the chicago area 92 & 95 that I know of... Not sure how to get it home. I bought the HHR so I would have some cargo capacity when I need it, but I think this is way too long.
