No but so far my newly installed MSD one with the remote coil is working perfectly. How much less are they?

Have used the DUI distributor on my modified 89 for several years with no issues. You don't need more unless you are building something north of 600 hp thats going to spin over 7000 rpm in my opinion.

That's way more than I have to worry about then, I figure I'll make roughly 385...

It's not necessary to install one if you're going to have a high horse motor. I only meant that DUI distributors are well made and can also go on "normal" motors.

My main reasoning for going this way is the availability of a screw-down cap, and it's American made.
I like the MSD unit as well, but dont want to convert to remote coil....

Would the Accel one work? It's a direct replacement for what we have.

Just curious. What is wrong with ACCEL? I had their distributor and coil last time and there was no issue.

87' and up would have to change the gear on the Accel dist to make it compatable with the roller cam.

I just installed an 8366 distributor from MSD

http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

It has an iron gear. Do I have to change it for the roller cam?
