Just got done changing plugs. 5Hrs.
This is the first time for me to ever change plugs on a Vette.
It will be the last as well! I couldn't have done it without the help of my 14yr. old daughter. I wear a size 14 ring, you know the rest.
I'm just glad it's over, and believe it or not I didn't kill anybody.
I always thought my vette was hard to change plugs in until I had to do my daughters 2000 Monte Carlo SS. On these the engine is in sideways and to get to the rear plugs you have to take the bolts out of the motormounts and roll the motor forward . Then its all feel to get to the plugs. It turned into a all day job. Ill take a vette anyday after that. WW
I worked as a Dealership Mechanic for a while; many years ago. Trust me, there are much worse cars to change the plugs in. On my '86 I get them from the bottom (under the car).
