Aerospace Front Brakes....

My bracket car (Mustang) also has had the Aerospace kit on the front for about 8 yrs and other than pads I haven't had to do anything to it. The car runs 5.80's@113 (on motor) in the 1/8th and I've never had any problems stopping it. Plenty of Panic stops when I put the car on the bottle and they have never let me down. It's certainly better than the 4 cly Mustang brakes it had when I first built it, LOL. I still take the Mustang out on the road every so often and don't have any problems.
Aerospace makes a top notch piece for the money and it works well for its intended purpose. I'm not sure how much better it would be over the early C4 braks thou... definately lighter.

I'm running the J55s with a wagner ceramic pad, the pad is the same as the pad for the 12" rotors. This is on my 89 and the 90 convertible.
You can't use the 12" caliper on the 13" rotor, the 13" is about an 1/8" thicker than the 12" and the caliper pistons will not retract enough for clearance.
There is a noticeable difference in braking between the C5 and C4 stuff.
I'm running the C5 brakes on the stroker.
Email me if you need further info.

I thought about the C5 stuff but I have several concerns. I drove a car that had the C5 stuff on it a few years ago and it was not much better in my opinion than the c4 stuff. Maybe it was just that car but I was expecting much better than I felt. Also I wanted to gain some weight savings with the swap also. Aero told me I can expect up to a 30lb savings over stock.
I just purchases a set of rear wilwoods for one of the solid rear conversions. The setup is AWESOME and definately saves some weight so I will likely be putting them on the rear as well. They were around 600 dollars for a kit.
Figure a good set of front and the wilwoods in the rear the car should stop on a dime
