I am looking for a cam that is good for all around performance I guess. I am going in the direction of building my car to be a killer on the road course. Forget this 1/4 mile stuff, it isn't as fun.
TPIS has some good "recipes" for engines using their mini-ram - I'd take a close look at those if I were you. Get a copy of their Inside Hints book, it's got some good info in it.
If you are going to use the Mini-ram, I would use the ZZ-9. Especially if you are using the stock heads. The ZZ-9 was designed for the stock heads. the LPE219 is more for aftermarket heads and the super ram.
Your car has a hydraulic flat tappet cam. The ZZ9 cam is a hydraulic roller cam. Are you going to switch over to use a roller cam? If you are doing the conversion take a look at the LT4 Hotcam. If you're going to stay with a flat tappet cam take a look at Comp Cams Extreme Energy lineup.
