I ordered some items from them a few weeks ago and the guy I talked to was very nice and even very helpfull with some cam questions.

Maybe it is just one certain person there because I have heard others say the same as you.

I have a few other items to order from them, we will see how it goes.

Bad thing is, I live about 100 miles from them. I could have hitch hiked up there and got it by now. And this morning all I wanted was a tracking number, but I couldn't even get that before he hung up on me.

Maybe I was doing something wrong, but it took 3 weeks to get an answer about a Mini-Ram question....
FIRST Fuel Injection was right on the ball though, answering what had to be some of the simplest questions.
Pretty easy to see which way I want to go....

www.hightechmotorsport.com might have better answers for you. I have worked with TPIS on their headers. If you are lucky, you get your answers. If not, go fawk yourself was their attidude.

This is not my experience at all. I live in Norway and have boughtsome things from them headers and intake components and other smaller things.
Everytime they have been polite and answered my questions even if they were a lot. I got my items fast.
So I cannot recognize any bad customer treatment at all.
And the items i bought has been up to my expectations.
I even phoned not thinking of the time difference of 6 hours and the boss got the phone

Been there, done that....with the same results. The guys at First had a response to my email question before the day was over.

I got the same type of attitude from TPIS about 5 years ago, when I was first looking into various intakes. I really liked the miniram product, from what I had read and others had said about it; "BUT" when I called Tpis to inquire about it and to have some questions answered, the man who talked to me acted like it was a pain in the *** to talk to me and I got the impression he felt I was just a tire kicker, wasting his time. I felt, if someone is not willing to answer simple questions about their product and it's too much of a hassle to deal with potential customers; then, they don't need my business. Guess I'll never know how good or bad their product is, cuz it'll be a cold day......well, u know the rest , Tom

I just emailed them a link to this post. Hopefully this will wake them up to how poor their service (not products) can be sometimes. (That is if they even open my email ever).

My crappy dealings started with them in 1995. Every 5 years or so, I forget about the past shii1ty treatment, and order something. I quickly realize how bad they are.
They have been consistantly poor, and cocky as hell when you call to inquire.
Once I caught them flat out lying to me, I wrote them off.

They already know how bad their service is. I am sure they dont care.
As I mentioned, they have a long history of less than par service.
Based on similar threads in the past, they likely will not reply. If they do, they will offer a cocky explanation.

i believe myron, the owner, made a bundle of cash by selling the "miniram" to chevrolet years ago. if thats story is true, he made his money long ago and runs the busines as a hobby, which would explain everything.

I (and some friends) bought some parts from them years ago and received nothing but poor quality parts and crappy customer service...i've not done business with them since, and think their stuff is out dated, over priced, and over hyped

In 2002 I ordered a head gasket from them. It arrived all bent up which was not their fault. I was in the military at the time, and our base mail handlers always seemed to bang up my packages.

I called TPIS and I believe I spoke to a guy named chris. He quickly shipped me a new head gasket with no fuss or attutude for free. He was nice about it and even told me he did not need the old gasket back. He basically took my word for it (which was true still). They double packed the new one and this one arrived undamaged. The only things I've bough from them was my Random Tech cat, a thermostat, and their fuel injector cleaning service.

I have purchased several orders from them over the last 6 years, including building an engine. I've received nothing but great service.
