I've looked at the McQuire's Plastex (I think that's the right spelling) on the shelf at the local auto parts store. It is recommended for restoring clear headlight plastic, signals, sidemarkers from a 'yellowed' state to more like new. I think I read that it was okay for interior hard plastic too, but figured I didn't want to be the one to test it! Anyone tried this stuff?

Plastix works pretty good for smooth shiny hard plastics. Will make your guage cluster window look like new.
For the black rubbery coating there was a thread around here with people using Plasti-Dip aerosol, and/or the Plasti-Dip spray electrical tape aerosol, to repaint...if its in bad shape
