Default Pulled what I thought was original engine?

I spun a bearing about a year ago on my '94 LT1 and I just finally took a look at the block. There is a casting number that says 327 on it. As far as I know a '94 LT1 Vette should have a 350 unless I've been missing something for the last 10 years.

Could this 327 casting number mean something else or is this not the original engine?

Pull the remainder of the numbers and check them here:
http://www.mortec.com/castnum.htm

I'll wager you will find it is original.

As one casting may have been used for different engines, the true identification for any engine is the code stamped on the block pad;
front of pass side head.
Also has partial VIN numbers of original chassis.

For '94
