Lateral Accellerometer grief
Hello: My 94 has a situation where almost exactly 7 minutes into a ride, The ASR & ABS trouble indication lights come on at the same time. They will reset if you shut the engine off, and come on againg 7 minutes later. I have turned the ASR switch off on the dash, but doesn't make any difference, still happens 7 minutes later. I had an auto mech friend hook up his analiser with the ASR/ABS module attachment and an error message came up saying the fault was in the lateral accellerometer circuits. Does anyone have any prior experience with same situation and where is it located and how difficult is it to change out?

The mechanic advised you well:
The lateral accelerometer CIRCUIT is bad.
That doesn't necessarily mean the lateral accelerometer is bad. It might mean there is a bad ground ON THE CIRCUIT.
Get a wiring diagram, and a multimeter. Test for voltage, test for ground, etc.
Don't buy parts blindly.
