temp. gauge
was in traffic yesterday and the temp was up to 225. Is this normal it was 39 degrees out and that seems pretty hot. Car is only 1 week old to me with 30,ooo miles so any help would be appreciated.

yeah dont worry too much, just be sure to run synthetic oils as they can take the heat. Mine got to 210 a couple days ago and it was about 45 outside. I havent installed a 160 thermo or fan switch yet, waiting until spring to have everything done.

Sitting still idling after driving 60 mph for 20, mine went right up to 230* when the fans kicked in, cooled down to 210* fans went off, right back up to 230*, and it was 18*. That's the way these run. You can run a lower temp fan switch and thermostat, but might wanna read up on it first.

1996......mine did the same..cure.....160 stat. and hpplll ......never goes above 192 in heavy traffic in 65 degree weather so far....170-173 on highway....really pleased with this product... :yesnod: :yesnod:
