Change Oil Light -E/M button broke

1992, can't reset the change oil light because the Eng/Met button doesn't work. Is there a trick, other then fixing the DIC, like pulling a fuse etc. Tried disconnecting the battery. Thanks for any input

If the E/M switch is inop try a short squirt of electric parts contact cleaner behind the switch cover. Be careful where the spray goes and it might restore the funtionality of the switch.
