I just bought a 92 lt1 with an auto It drove fine for a week and just died no spark I towed it home and cleaned all the electrical connections and it started I drove it about 10 miles and it died again the next day I bought a new battery and a code scanner. The scanner showes codes 51 (prom)46 (fuel enable)63 (left o2 error)71 (AC evap temp sensor failed 68 AC relay shorted) 67 (AC pressor transducer degraded 66 (AC pressor transduceropen short) 65 (right o2 sensor rich. If I pull the codes off the speedo I get c12 module1 no codes for module 4 not even c12 no codes for module 9 not even c12
Itested for power at the ignition module and the ground at the module it was ok I dont have a fsm yet thanks Shane
That many trouble codes? I wonder if your ECM has gone ****-up? The 1992 models are notorious for ECM failure, and new replacement modules have been discontinued by GM.
You'll have to get a re-man or salvage yard part, just be sure to save your O.E.M. PROM chip.
What scanner?
I have a 93 and my ECM is the same as yours and they go bad more often than later models, but are not that bad.
What does the car do when it dies?
Is it like when you run out of gas, i.e. sputter or does it just cutoff?
The more info you give, the better help you will receive.
