Default alignment issues after lowering

I lowered the rear on my 86 1". I took it to a reputable front end man, and he can't get the left rear camber into specs. He says it's about 1 degree out. Anyone else run into this problem?

DRM sells camber adjustment brackets that give you more adjustment. I bought a pair, but ended up that I didn't need them; the rear came into spec just fine.

what's he getting for camber? negative half to three quarter isn't anything to worry about. toe in one sixteenth to one eighth.

I'm not real familiar with alignment terms....he told me it was off about 1 degree, and I took it to him because the rear wheels were kicked in slightly at the top after I lowered the rear......

that's fine as long as it's not excessive. half a degree negative on each side would create a statement like he gave you. call that guy up and ask two questions 1: what was the negative camber on each side and 2: what is the toe in on each side. if you have a print out look at the rear and you should see what the numbers are. -.050 on the camber and .10 on the toe is a great high performance street setup.

I had Todd over at Banning's do the alignment on the vette after installing new shocks and lowering the rear. He set it up for drag racing the way I wanted it and I've been very happy with the work.

If you just use the longer bolts to drop the rear you throw the camber way out usually.Take a look at the spring mounting points and you will see four aluminum shims on each side.By placing three below and one over the spring you can lower the rear without affecting the geometry. If it's not low enough drop it some more with the longer bolts and you will still have enough cam left to correct the camber angle.
