How Long to Pull an LT-1 Engine?
How many hours does it take to pull an LT-1? What is the main hang-ups. I intend to pull mine by myself without pulling the tranny and through the top with the hood and front bumper off (out for fresh paint).

I just did mine 3 weeks ago in two hours with no hang ups but my car has been taken apart alot so I had no issues with stuck or seized bolts just take your time and lift it out slow some people take the wiper motor out so they don't brake it I did not so it can be done just keep an eye on it.

You will have to support the tranny as there is no rear mount. If you have lots of room under the car or access to a lift, it should take no more than a couple hours especially if the clamshell is already off. It also depends on how many pieces you want to remove from themotor before pulling it.
The accessories like the PS pump and A/C compressor should be able to be moved out of the way. Be carefulw with the front damper as the engine will have to move forward some.

I pulled mine with hood on, wiper motor left in, tranny in, but I did pull off my accesories first because I swapped motors. Only thing I would do different next time is pull the dampner off the hub to allow more forward movement of motor when pulling it away from trans. Do a search, alot of good info on this.
