Is the ECM Connector for my 88 Vette a 24 or 32 pin connector? THANKS Pipe

I pulled my '94 PCM to have a gander at the connectors. I have 4 connectors; looks like 2 rows of 16 pins in each of all 4 connector bundles.

Yours might have numbering 1 - 12 (or 16) on the connector for diagnostics - it's hard to read.

UNLESS, you're talking about the ALDL-ECM connector...?

This is on my 88 not the 90 The guy who I bought the car from was going to do a pinout to change to a later style ECM and lost the old connector. I want to put the 88 ECM connector back on till I get it running. Pipe

You should be ble to get the plug with some pigtails from any wrecking yard.
165 ECM
'86 -'90 Vettes / Camaros / Firebirds and other GM .

late 80's s-10/s-15 pick-ups with 4-cyl engines use the -165 ecm and are ez to pull out...look under dash far right (pass) side, if no hush panel (most) just one 7mm head screw and the ecm drops down

I think other GM cars used the same two connector and not necessarily connected to a 1227165 ECM. As long as the connectors have the same number of pinouts, it should work. Obviously the color code for some of the wiring will be different but with the proper tool to remove the pins from the connector, there shouldn't be too much problem either re-arranging them or installing his old wiring harness pins into the new used connectors.

The Dash Cluster in the '84-'89 uses the same connectors. I have some if needed. PM me.
