I have a '91 vette with a vin number of 8, and I am not sure what kind of transmission I have in it. Even if I did know I wouldn't know the difference. Could you guys help me out and explain the difference to me and if I should upgrade and how much it would cost. Also, what would be the benifits of upgrading.
Hey man the best thing to do is to look under your arm rest there is a sticker on there that lists all of your RPO codes make sure it has the same VIN as your car because they do get changed out on some cars, If you post them guys on here know a few web sites that explain all of them or some will actually let you know what they are especially if you cant find a few on those sites, then we will be able to relly let you know what you have for sure and what direction to point you in..
Phrogs, not to get off the subject, but I saw your pic in Corvette Fever.
Were you ever stationed at New River? Also you picked up SSgt pretty quick for only being in the USMC since 94'. I got out in 97 as a Corporal because of MOS not promoting, but I still talk to some of my Marines and they are still waiting to pick up SSgt. I gues your MOS really makes a difference. Anyways I saw double nuts in the pic and it made me laugh because I was lamost in a crash with double nuts at New River. Semper Fi
I pinned ssgt in 6yr 11 months, I lat moved into helos the thing is alot of people get out of these moses because there is a lot of :bs to deal with so they promote real qick and it is not for the better I have guys who pinned it on a few months before me and they came in in 97 so it kinda suck one they dont have the experience in leading marines and two there heads get real fat so i have to kick em in the **** from time to time...
