Default LT1 IAC part numbers

It appears that not all LT1 IACs are the same. I tried a Borg Warner 21755 tonight and the tabs around the bolt holes were too large causing the new IAC to sit crooked. I ended up having a High idle issue due to the pintle jamming in the throttle body.

Is there a preferable IAC for a 1995, the original is a borg warner 21965 (or at least that's what was in there). Looking closely reveals that the tabs on it are just a hair smaller.

Is there a difference between a LT4 IAC and a LT1 IAC? I'm not understanding the variance. I'll try to get some pics for you guys tomorow.

Ouch. The LT1/LT4 are the same for 96, and 95 LT1 had the same. I am not sure of 94s. But 93 and olders have been around for a while.

Bought a IAC from autozone by the part number #AC139, which worked perfect. Turns out the 21755 that I broke has a wider neck and will sit crooked in the IAC port, I have no clue why they offer the 2 differing parts.

A replacement part for the original part number of 17113188 seems to fit the LT1s. Definitely cured my rough idle and sluggish start issues as well as stopping the A/C from "dragging" down the motor at a stop or cruise.

Thanks for the help Steve!
