Default exhaust options

Can someone tell me the answer to the following:
If i have a shop remove the resonator but leave the stock mufflers and stock cats, what type of result will i get?

Second option: remove the stock muffler and leave everything else in place, what type of sound will i get?

What i am looking for is not a loud affect but some growl different than the stock setup i have now.

95 auto LT1.
thanks

I have a 94 6-speed , I had a stock exhaust system with the res. removed, it was a little louder but I didnt like it, so i removed the the mufflers , it sounds very raspy, i heard of guys removing the mufflers and leaving the res. in place too.

I think what you are looking for would be to remove the mufflers and install some pipe with the tips of your choice.

I have a '95 auto. A few years ago I replaced the stock mufflers with muffler eliminators (open pipes) with all else stock including resonator. The car is louder, but not 'that' loud. I really don't like it. It sounds like a Chevy HD pickup. On the other hand, I don't like the stock sound either. I really liked the sound of my stock LT1 Z28 better.

Lots of posts concerning exhaus Beche. Exhaust covers from manifolds to mufflers pipes. If you do not live in California, start with long tubes (LT), random techonlogies, and then there are a dozen of choices:

corsa, magnaflow, flowmaster, borla, bbk, dynomax, and many others. This is the magic question, How much money are you willing to invest in your C4 exhaust system?

I'd go with the second option and put on a set of Corsa or Borla mufflers. They have growl at idle and some sound at throttle, but not as much as muffler eliminators. You don't sound like someone who likes lots of noise, and that's where perf. mufflers come in.

I see long tube headers mentioned ALOT, but don't know of them, as I am new to these forums and I am also a brand new Corvette owner. Are they a model of a specific manufacturer or a general type of header? Have you got a link to a online store that sells them so I can get an idea of price and what they look like?
