Default DeWitts radiator

Ok, I'm going to pull the trigger on a new DeWitts, my plan is to run a 16" SPAL fan as a replacement for
the factory puller as well, wired along with my factory pusher to the switch on the drivers head to kick on
at 174, off at 166...
Looking at the factory height of the radiator, it says 15-5/16"....will a 16" fit with just a tad of lower
overlap? I really wish I could run the dual 11" pullers like I have on my Z-28, but it's just too narrow....

Default Good Move on the DeWitt Radiator

I commend you on your move to a DeWitt Radiator. I very rarely endorse a product to others, but this would be an exception.

In year 1 with my 95 LT1 coupe, the car would run hot in stop and go traffic. The tranmission would run hot as well.

In year 2 after my installation of a DeWitts radiator, the cars run 197 - 204 in all conditions and the trans runs 180-185 even in the Atlanta heat.

The only problem I had was the upper shroud during removal and replacement. I just did not think to cut away at the opening for the hoses on the passenger side. That would have made things easier.

I have been most happy with the DeWitt product. Then even picked up the ball when Mid America dropped it. I was treated as a customer should be treated.

Good luck with your project.

My bad...this only fits 90-96 C4's. The OP has an 89 and that won't work, however we are creating an upgrade for Corvette Fever car for early C4's (84-89) and we will make this a standard product.

I'm curious how you came up with the fan on/off settings. In Tucson, even without the AC on, your fan will be running continuously. Good luck passing emissons. I have a Ron Davis radiator (similar to DeWitts), and I had to raise the fan on temp to 195. Even when it's over 110*, I never get over 207*.

Been through twice since I've got 'er, barely even got a reading on it...my Z-28 has already got a dual SPAL set-up, and runs even cooler, right at the 160 stat, and it passes just as clean...damned if I know why, but I'm not questioning it...
