If you are looking to tighten the quench on an LT1 engine and raise compression, go with the Impala head gaskets. I have them in stock and ready to go if you want some. Give me a call for a price.
Thanks,
Re: Anyone used these head gaskets? (Chris@SpeedDemon)
Thanks guys for all the responses, the # 5715 & 5716 are listed as LT1 specific gaskets.
However, the # 5716 .026 gasket description applies to iron head Impalas but with the same gasket
composition/make-up as the # 5715 .046 for aluminum heads.
Chris you're right on my trying to tighten up the quench area, I've heard that the .026 works well I was just
wondering about reliability with aluminum heads. Can those of you that have tried/ used these .026s give us some
feedback?
Happy Holidays & be careful, Dave :flag
We have been using the Impala head gaskets from GM for quite some time now and have had great luck. No problems with durability, seal, or anything else. :)
I am sure that the Victor head gaskets would be the same. :)
Good Luck,

i use the impala .026" gasket on mine and race it quite hard weekly when weather permits, quite a few south eastern members can attest to that and i have had no problems whatsoever except traction ;)
