Default 93 - no injector pulse

Hey, guys. I've been looking at old posts trying to troubleshoot things myself, but am having no luck. This is my Dad's car which had problems 3 years ago,(died when it reached operating temp), and was disassembled until 2 months ago. The thinking was opti went bad again despite the absence of any codes.

I put new plugs and wires on(that was fun, why can't this be an A1 Volkswagen), reinstalled the water pump, etc.

It fired right up, but around 186 degrees died. I started it again and it was fine. O.K., great that's neat. Washed it, cleaned it up, and tried to start it again. Nada. Came back later when it had cooled a little and she fired again. This time no shutting down before or at operating temp. Shut it off, fired right back up several times. Sooo, I thought it was a fine again. From that point on, it would start whenever it wanted to. Sometimes it would, sometimes it wouldn't, cold or hot. Eventually, she decided to not start at all. I checked coil wire and got no spark. Let me clarify, motor cranks, just have no boom. Replaced coil and IM(not Delco BTW) and still nothing. Checked for injector pulse with noid light and nothing. Tried starting fluid and got coughs. She's got spark. Went over today and tried some more tests after reading thread about a shorted injector wire. I pulled off an injector connector, cranked it, and voila, it's alive. Shut her down and tried to start it again. Nothing. Tried to duplicate what I did, but no dice. Nice novella, huh.

short version:
93 LT1 w/ appx. 130k
Injectors are all at 12.4 ohms with no pulse at connectors
Will cough with starting fluid
New coil and IM
No codes

My first guess was possibly an ignition switch, my dad thought ECM. Now we don't know what to think.

Did I mention I am dealing with a POSM(Haynes)? It has to be the most worthless pile I've ever seen. Complete junk.

Any help would be a blessing.

Thanks

Best swag would be ECM based on your description, but your post itself has the real answer. Ditch the Haynes and get a genuine FSM, follow the trouble shooting chart for a no start condition.
If you fill out your profile it will make it easier for others to help and you may find someone close by who can assist, good luck.
