I thought I would update my rear install info ,

I went from 10"-275# to 10"-350# springs and it was a huge improvement, at a 27" ride height I don't bottom out any more and the ride is not as soft and bouncy as the 275's,,

with the 275's if I set the shocks stiff the ride on my car was harsh, and if I softened up the shocks then it would bottom out on interstate dips.

I really really like it a lot the way it is now.... now on dips it does great ..

The coil over system is so sweet, you can pop in new springs for $80 a set and adjust the ride height to your desired height

Today I ordered the 10-400 lb QA1 coils,

Last year, I was so impressed with the improvement in going from 275# to 350# coils I figured I would stiffen the rear up one more notch.

the stiffer 350 lb coils which I installed last year, 99% eliminated the bottoming on on dips when I had the ride height dialed in low, so I am sure that I can put the ride height where I want it and not fear slamming the rear on dips.

Coil-Over Spring, 400 lbs./in. Rate, 10 in. Length, 2.5 in. Diameter, Silver Powdercoated

Hey LD85,

I have been running #300's in the back of mine since the beginning, and have been satisfied with about 3-4 clicks on the shocks.

I agree #275's would be a bit soft, I found it to be similar in feel as well, by moving up the spring rate the car would really feel good. You should be very happy with the #350's for sure.

Figure with about 125 pounds of fuel against the #275 your ride height would vary almost a 1/2" from full to empty. Now should be less than about 3/16".

I'm glad you are happy with the setup.

2 updates.

1. I installed 400 # coils in the rear (up from 275's, then up to 350's & now 400's) and they balanced out the car nicely for my taste, no bottoming out, and a firm ride, which i did not want when I first intsalled them, but I like the firmer ride now.

2. Good news,,, the lower shock mount for the QA1 is an off the shelf part for a fraction of the cost of the other offerings, I installed this mount below for a grand total of $30 for the pair,,, but I did change the bolt to a grade 8 bolt with a hex head, but that was it, and I now have @ 1/2 Clearance between the trailing arm and the coil,, absolutly perfect!
