CFOT really loves C4's

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

Hey, at least we got power antennas. Taken from C5 Gen.
When he bent over to dry the Trunk his shorty Antenna poked him straight in the Eye! The BAD Part, --> The little metal Ball on the end of the Antenna got stuck behind his eye. When my Cousin arrived on the scence the Guy was Still Leaning over the Corvette holding the Antenna which was stuck in his Eye. Luckly his Wife was home and was the one to call 911. The Fire Dept had to Cut the Antenna to get him free from the Corvette to take him to the Hospital. Guess Which Antenna is installed on my VET.. I might now change it, or always make sure I'm wearing sunglasses while washing my car.. Just wanted to let you guys and Gals know.. I hope he is going to be OK..

Like I've said before half of them bash because they can't fit into them...just take a look at the cruise-In photos.
I have recently went on 3 corvette events, and most of them I was only one of a few of the C4 owners.
Most of them were either C5 or C6 owners.
I had the same thoughts as you, due largely in part to what I have read in the past, I almost backed out at the last minute due to that.
But then I decided to buck up and just deal, as I really wanted to go.
Well, let me tell you, I had the best time ever. ALL of the people I met were friendly, didnt leave me out, did nothing but compliment my car, and if they didnt it was no big deal. I just wanted to feel welcome.
My car has almost 145,000 miles, my first vette, definately not a show car, and has many imperfections. I have owned it almost a year, and never went to anything before, but the kindness and the comaraderie (spelling) were unbelievable.
My point is, there are always going to be that kind you are talking about out there, but just take it with a grain of salt, and move on.
Life is too short to get so bent of shape out of someone elses insecurities, so just do like I did, and just deal with it in a mature manner, and realize that there a lot of good guys out there.
