Pete, sorry bud, I accidentally called you Frank earlier. I don't know what I was thinking.
All aftermarket:
I put separates in dash and doors. For those of us who need our music, aftermarket is a necessary thing. My amps are in the bins behind the seats. 1 big sub amp behind driver seat, 2 midsize in the other bin.
Nice Sony's Shawn, how do they sound? Crossover frequency? Ported?

89 Paul,

No big deal, I've been called worse...hahahaha.... I like the dash with the EQ below the deck....I want to go with the same thing but want the DSP unit... I have not found anything yet. What EQ is that you have and how much of a difference did it make to your system. I have all the internal EQ and frequency controls on my deck encluding Sub controls and crosover network all built in my head unit. So I might be doing the same thing by just adding the EQ.... DSP may not make any difference in our cars as it's very small inside our cars and is not really needed.... It may be just a want instead of a need thing....

I think I want wheels for my car more than anything right now.....If I can ever find any that I can afford or pick up a used set .....Don't know of any do you???

I hope I get my picks back soon so I can post.

It looks like a kenwood 6042a.

Yeah, it is a kenwood 10 band eq with sweepable parametric+ sub. I just HAVE to tweak sliders/*****/faders on every cd. I gotta have it perfect-call me whatever-it makes a big difference on every cd. You are correct IMHO on the DSP thing although some effects are nice, like a slight delay(echo) for more a spatial sounding image. Your internal controls sound cool. See? I am old school analog sliders and faders.

Old school....People say that about me cuz of my age....hahaha.... I like the echo affect to....Plus the other controls that it has..........I need to redue my dash as I have that kit that it sticks out an inch or so...I hate that..I want it to be flush...so I will maybe tackle that as soon as I find a peice of the plastic to do it from, but want to deside if I am going to put in an EQ 1st.

Call me ****, but I want it perfect..... in a vette thats hard to do.....I must have redid my shifter 6 times before I got it looking halfway right for me....I will more than likely do it again to..hahaha...But, I am on a mission for my wheels now..... Think I found close to what I want....
