I have had this problem on going for some-time now. When I start the car from cold or even after storage over the winter its starts up immediately on the very first crank but when it gets HOT after driving and shutting down it cranks probably for 10 to 15 seconds and even that wont start untill the 2nd or 3rd try!!!!! . I feel that something in the distributor may have a crack or pick up coil. I don't really know what to make of this . Any input would be helpful
Thanks
Lew
Does is smell like gas like the engine is flooded when it finally starts up? If so it could be Fuel Pressure Regulator leaking fuel into the intake via the vacuum line. I had that issue on a camaro, would be hard to restart between like 10 mins to 2 hours after running, until the fuel cleared. Or leaky injectors.
Hope you've made some progress in the week since you posted.

heres a common problem.. when cold the cold start injector is supplying pleanty of fuel to start. but when hot the csi is not active, If your injectors are clogged you will have this problem. The injectors in your car are old style bosch pintle injectors that get clogged and require cleaning.
