I have a 93 LT1 and it had been running great till the other day. It quit, hd it towed home and then it started. When I turn the key on sometimes, not always there are relays clicking and the main fan comes on and the a/a is not on and if this happens it will not start. If it does start doing this is has no power and bogs down to move it in the driveway. Now if I try and start it and no relays click or fans on it starts and runs great.
* My question is sometimes I hear the fuel pump and sometimes I don't, should it hum everytime you turn the key?
* I pulled the hose that returns gas vapors to tank and it was completely clogged up with carbon bits can this effect thing?
* In the past I had a wire on an a/c low pressure switch touch another wire and it did this, but i can not find a wire touching this time?
* I am really puzzled and I checked my injectors and they all read 12 for stock injectors...
Did you test your injectors hot and cold? Sounds like a weird electrical issue to me, although some of my relays have made loud clicking noises in the past and it didn't seem to affect anything.
I checked them cold so far....how hot do they need to be to check hot?? The car does it cold and hot as far as clicking. I started it today after sitting 2 days and it was really hard to start and after it started it had no power. Then I shut it off and started it again and it ran great. Then shut it off and turned key on to start it and relays were clicking and fans came on by them selves. Turned key off and it started normal again....just weird!!!
According to the books the fans should only come on at start if you have a coolant temp sensor or circuit problem (Hot or cold) and one other thing that I would have to look up again, unless you have the air on.
Have you checked the battery voltage with a volt meter? It's hard to tell with the info given, but I'm going to lean toward an electrical problem. I'd start checking the basics to start things off.

I will check it now.... To me I think something is grounding out some where. When I first bought the car the fans didn't come on with the air and I found the wires on a a/c pressure switch bare and touching. As soon as I fixed them it worked fine. I think I have another wire touching or a faulty switch some where.
Ok.......could this have been it......The lower pressure switch on the a/c has a wire that connects to the frame as a ground. I took it off and it was corroded so I cleaned it really well and made sure I had a good ground and hooked battery back up and she started fine 4 times in a row. Could this ground have been the problem maybe???

FAN ON RIGHT AWAY IS A FAULT INDICATOR (someone else got that too)

YES

VAPORS DON'T RETURN TO THE TANK. THEY GO THE EVAP CANNISTER, AND GET PURGED EVERY 8 MINUTES (OR 10)
