Default 89 Hot Start Issue

I left work and drove the car to the video store, it was about 94 outside. Went in and got movies, came out and nothing. Accessories all worked fine. The starter wouldn't even click. New battery, new alternator in the car. Had a buddy come down to try and give me a jump, still nothing. I crawled under the car and jumped the starter by hand, the car cranked but didn't fire. I fiddled around with it for about 30-45 min, and finally called a tow truck. After the hook was on its way, I tried it and it fired right up. The computer must have reset itself because my trip odometer and average fuel mileage were set to 0.0 I noticed that when I turned the key on, and it wouldn't fire that I couldn't even hear the fuel pump. The car wasn't overheating when I stopped. Anyone have any ideas?

The fact that you had no power and lost your memory leads me toward looking at the ground cable to the battery. Could be loose, could be corrosion.

All the accessories had power and worked fine. I even used a jumper cable to ground the engine just in case.

I believe your security system was not working correctly. The starter is fine since you manually jumped it and it cranked the engine. The security system will not allow the engine to crank and it will cut power to the fuel pump.
