Baffled Exhaust? Why? Popular?
Hi all,
I was wondering who has setup a baffle for their Exhaust system on their C5. I test drove a 2000 C5 today and the guy showed me this switch that has a couple settings that moves the exhaust to create more sound. He said it was a factory option(which is pure BS) and it only for sound. Is he right? whats the benefit?

Well, this is C4 Tech not C5. But, it's so you can choose between a quiet exhaust or a loud one. Coming home at 1am, sometimes you don't want the rumble that's cool at a car show. I thought it was engaged at a certain RPM / throttle combination, but I'm obviously not an expert on C5 systems.
