So I pulled my spark plugs today hoping to find out why my gas mileage have been so poor lately. When I pulled out cylinders 5, 7, 4, and 6 spark plugs, there was a very strong smell of gas with lots of carbon deposits on the plugs end were visible. So I'm pretty sure that those injectors are leaking when the car sits. Am I right? I think there are newer style replacement injectors that will handle the ethanol better that's in the gas now, what are these called? Since I will eventually have the upper part of the engine apart to replace the injectors, are there performance packages that include better flowing plenum/runners, intake manifold, and injectors that I can get? I thought I saw them somewhere. Thanks!!

Maybe send the injectors to get rebuilt by FIC Injectors or get new ones from them (they are a forum vendor with excellent reviews).
A fuel pressure test will rule out or confirm the problem - if it's normal, the other cause would be an inoperative evaporative emission control system. A check valve should be holding fuel vapors in the tank when it's stopped. If it's failed or if the canister if full of fuel, vapors can enter the plenum and find their way through an open intake valve. Your sniffer test only tells you something is up - you need to find out what's causing it.
