96 CE issues help anybody
Hey guys, I just bought a 96 CE LT1 and drove it home yesterday(6 hour drive) and it performed great! But I did notice a couple things. First, the DIC is not working, the only thing it shows is the milage. Trip meter ect will not show. Also all the way home it was flashing "SYS" in a consistant pattern. What is that?
The only other thing I noticed is the PKE is not functioning either.( related problem??)
Any help would be GREAT! Thanks in advance.

As I ask people at my work when I do a safety audit, do you have the owner manual and if so you should be able to trouble shoot the problems down. I will look in mine and ask around if you can not get these fixed in a matter of time. I wish I could help out more. TJB

SYS flashing every 15 seconds means there is a fault in one of the systems monitored by the CCM. Take it to an auto parts store that offers a free scan to narrow it down.
PKE might be related, might not. That would take further diagnostics as well.

OK, thanks you guys. It did not come with the manual so it looks like I will have track one down. Like I said, it runs and drives great, I had no problems at all as far as that goes. I just want to figure out why the DIC is not working properly. With the PKE, I was told you have to use some of the buttons on the DIC to set it.
I'll get ahold of a manual and might have to take it in to get it looked at.
