Ok, long story short. I have a 92 that someone has done some hack job on the wiring harness'. Everything seem to be working fine(temp gauge). I removed the exhaust system to install new headers, cats and Borla system. Durring removal I started finding disturbing wiring on the PS of the engine. First the O2 sensor on the PS was wired in direct (no plug), then the Knock sensor wire has had the plug cut off and a 3in blue wire that was wirenutted on to it, and a blue butt connector crimpt to the end of it to slide over the male end of the knock sensor. Finally to my question/problem my temp sensor on the PS of my block has two male prongs and I only have one wire going to my temp sensor to one of the male prongs, the other metal male prong on the temp sensor was bent over. The plastic housing that surrounds the metal prongs on the top off my temp sensor has been broken off. I opened up the wire harness to look for the other wire but didn't find one.
Can someone tell me if I am suppost to have a single wire/prong temp sensor, or if the doubble wire/prong sensor is correct? If the doubble sensor is correct is the other wire a ground, or suppost to be piggy backed off the knock sensor or O2 sensor????
Thanks for taking the time to read this and any help you can give me!!
