Default Anyone know which headers THESE are?

Who made them?

Primary size?

Look weird. Thinking of buying them from a forum member. He has no idea what they are or the primary size.

They are. But who made them!?!

I need to know the primary size, if they will work with my trickflow angle heads, etc. I'm assuming the collector is around 3" but can't really tell from the pix.

I think they are Lingenfelter,at least the tubes all route the same way as mine and the fittings look correct.Probably 1 5/8th pipes. If you buy them don't give too much as they need coating if you want them to last.

Hrmm. Someone else said they thought lingenfelter.

1 5/8" wouldn't work for me. I really hope they are 1 3/4"

Got a pic of yours?

The seller compared his finger (in one of the pix) them measured his finger when he got home, but I think this method leaves too much room for error.

Based on responses here, and them my searches from those responses they appear to be lingenfelter headers for sure.

Lingenfelter DID make both a 1 5/8, and a 1 3/4 primary size. Without the part # or measuring who knows. I dont want to pay for them and find out they are the wrong size...

They came on a parts car he bought. I've purchased about a grand in parts from the seller before. No gripes. If they came on a parts car I bought I wouldn't know what they were either.

The price is right, I just need 1 3/4". Unless I can know for sure they are that, I can't take the chance.

Does Lingenfelter actually manufacture anything?
I figured they were just a bolt on manufacturer.

If you follow Demonic85's thread he wasn't too happy with them.

On a naturally aspirated 383 with the right camshaft I imagine they would be superior. On my supercharged 357 I don't think the special bends would gain anything. I'm more concerned with getting the exhaust out than scavenging effects.

With a supercharger, I would do some more research. Maybe search the C5 forum.

The tube configuration, air and egr fittings look like my LPE 1 5/8" long tubes.

These tubes are definitely larger than mine and the collectors also appear to be a bit different which makes sense given the larger tube diameter. My collectors step down from 3" to 2 1/2" for the LPE supplied slip fit y-pipe, intended for the L98 main cat.

Its hard to tell if these have the same step down 2 1/2" collector, since the slip fit y-pipe is in place, but its likely that they do.

I'd say that they appear to be old LPE 1 3/4" Long tubes.

Compare them to these:

Well, Joe. If you get 'em, and they are 1 3/4 primaries, maybe we could trade headers.

What kind of camshaft would be the right one? Lumpy solid roller?

From what I can tell, they're one and the same, or a direct copy, since they look just like mine.

Just measured mine and they are 1.675" OD so looks like I have 1 5/8th's. Can't you ask the seller to measure them for you? As for fitting they are not too bad to get in there and the starter goes in and out without having to mess with the pipes. The only bitch is the number 8 plug which I ended up making a special wrench to get it in and out.
