87 Engine Type
Is the engine in my 87 cast iron or aluminum? Or, Aluminum heads on a cast iron block? I want to put new spark plugs in. I have Bosch Platinums now. Any suggestions?

From the factory, the '87 L98 came with an iron block and aluminum heads.
I went with NGK iridiums in my LT1s because of the stories of pucks falling from AC/Delco platinums and hype. They seem to work as well as new AC/Delcos. I normally don't fall for hype but the job is enough of a pita that I don't want to do it often and I hope the iridiums last as long as they are hyped to.
