Are those brake lines for your year or for the year of the calipers? Reason being I have a set of SS Earls also for my '91 unopened and don't want to use them if I'll have to buy another set with this upgrade in the future.
I would ASSume that they are for the year of your car as you bought a set of 4 and did not modify the rear calipers/rotors along with the fronts.
Thanks,
Jonathan
Jonathan, when you get brake lines for this conversion you use the C4 brake lines front and rear. They will adapt to the C5 calipers with no issues. I hope that helps!
Great thread and good job on your install, It'll make a HUGE difference in your braking and you'll notice the lack of brake fade that you had with the C4 calipers.
Thanks. I assume this will improve even the stock Z51 brake setup??
Yes, in fact I have the Z51 on my '88. The brake bias spring is a very big help. It's a cheap mod and highly advisable if you're gonna be working on your brake system. For full details, contact the tech help at DRM.
I'm gonna let it drop now as it was NEVER my intention to hijack this thread, nor did I intend to steal any thunder, ooohhhs, or aaaaahhhs from Johnnymo63's really cool set up.

Yes, the brake lines are made for my year C4. The earlier C4s may take another part number and definitely use different adapter brackets. All other parts are the same regardless of year. (fronts)

The manual said to disable the latch mechanism at the E-brake handle to give the cable room to travel, but when I pulled on the cable, it didn't move any.
Everything still came apart and went back together ok. I don't know why they say to disengage it.?? You can leave the rear calipers on the car to do the pad and rotor change, but it makes it easier to clean and paint.
