Default Just another problem!

Ok so was having problems with car starting so i replaced fuel filter and regulater. It was doing awesome until today when I went out to start my car. It was acting like it was before almost like it was getting any fuel. So I hooked up my fuel pressure gauge and perfect pressure but still wont start! Im not really sure where to go now is it spark? Please help! Its an 85 with free flowing exhaust and high flow intake.

Could be bad injectors, if an injector is bad it will not fire that rail due to them being batch fired. Ohm your injectors they should all ohm within .5 ohms of eachother.

Still won't start......spray some ether into the intake (give it a 10 count)and try to start it again. If the car starts with the ether you've got a fuel delivery problem. Check those injectors out.

Good Luck!

To get the car to fire, you need fuel...sounds like you have fuel at the rail.....and spark. Do you have spark? Pull a plug wire, insert a screw driver into the boot and position the screw driver so that it can arc to a ground and see if you have spark. If no spark, check the plugs on the distributor. There are three plugs...two up front...I belive the red white is on the left and white wire on the right. There is another plug in right behind these two.

I was under the impression that checking the spark with a screw driver would harm the cpu?

Have a mechanic check your Fuel Volume some time the pressure will be OK but will not send enough volume

Yes, may not be getting enough fuel. Again a simple test is to spray(10 second count) some ether into the throttle body and try to crank it up...if it runs on ether the spark and ICM are more than likely good, so then check those injectors out if the fuel pressure is good.

Good Luck!
