Default Oil Temp Sensor

I took my 93 Vete LT1 engine out and sent the block (only) what I thought was bare (no heads) to be bored, pistons and rings. Big mistake, I did not take near enough pictures. Received a great looking block and they handed me a box back of all the misc parts. What a job figuring out where all the wire holders and pieces go.
After spending all day figuring most of it out, I have an extra wire and sensor on the driver's (left) side. I beleived it is the oil temp sensor. On the left side I have the knock sensor in, and oil level and the O2 located.
However, I can not find where this temp sensor would go? The builder put an alan bolt just above where you screw on the oil filter and below the large block ground bolt. Could this be a mistake or does this alan bold actualy hold in the oil filter base?
Also, I have what looks like an preasure fitting (brass bolt like with hole all the way through.
Please help, this is the last thing holding me back from getting the headers on because I certainly don't want to start working around them.
If any one could snap a pict of this area on a 92+ and post it would be a huge help.
Thanks

My 96 has a sensor in the oil pan on the driver's side. Figured it had to be the oil temp sensor.

Oil temp sensor on the Vette goes above the oil filter.

The one in the pan is for the oil level.

Thanks for the help, I ran out and sure enough I pulled the plug the builder put in and the sensor went in smooth.
It's a bit like a jigsaw puzzule at this time as it has been 6 months since I started this project.
Nice to start seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.
