Default Odd problem with Shifter

Hi,

I have a 1995 LT1 w/ 6-speed. I upgraded to a 383 and Hurst shifter several months ago and have an unusual problem.

Under moderate or heavy acceleration, my shifter **** and lever raise up about an inch, only to return to their normal position once I let off the gas.

I double checked the long bolts through the transmission and C channel, and all appear tight.

Any ideas about where I should be looking to find the cause of this problem. Should I start investigating the problem from the top or from under the car? I have the FSMs, but don't know where to begin.

Thanks in advance for your help!

sounds like you have a broken left motor mount. with all that new power you probably tore it in half.
