Do your gauges (Oil Pressure, Water Temp, Oill Temp and Volts) go to zero when you shut off your car or do some stay where ever they were before you shut off the ignition? (1990 Coupe 6 speed)
My water, oil and volt gauges remain where ever they were but reset
once I turn the ignition. Is this normal??
I have a 1990 as well and oil pressure goes to zero but my temps stay close to where they were. I think it is normal. Mine have always done that (had the car for two years).

No everything works fine, but there is a drain which will kill my battery after about 3 days.
Jim
I have the same problem on my 1990 6 speed vert. The battery goes dead in three days. During the three days it's draining the security light is usually blinking off and on. If I pull the fuse that stops the blinking the drain stops but the car won't start without it. Once in awhile the security light isn't blinking and it will go dead in four days.
Some day I would like to fix it but for now I ended up putting a battery switch on it.

I think I tried everything, so I finally took it in to a highly regarded Corvette shop. There is something in the dash circutry that goes bad and will drain power. They have to remove the dash to fix this. I think
it's going to quite expensive though (what isn't up here). As these guys specialize in C3/C4 Vettes he told me this can be a common problem with '90 to '96. So if any one else is chasing a short that you can't find, I will post again when I get my car back.
