I just did a 134A conversion on my 89. It appears as though the "Evaporator Tube," Which to give a better description runs from the bottom line of the condenser, to the orfice tube, and includes the "high pressure port" which is very important, and a couple of pressure switches too; is leaking at the high pressure port. Its leaking like crazy. The valve is not a removable one so I am SOOL! The whole line needs to be replaced. Unless I missed it, I checked Ecklers, ThePartsBin.com, and PartsAmerica.com thus far with NO luck. I am trying to avoid the dealer at all costs of course; not to mention they never have anything I need and take 2-3 weeks to order it. Anyone know where I can get this line?
There's suppose to be a schrader in that Port which is servicable. With a conversion, you should have threaded on a quick connect and if you haven't, it might just stop the leak. Otherwise, the line is out of production. You can either have one fabricated by a shop or get a used one from a boneyard.

I have the same problem for my 85, I need to replace that leak in the high pressure line before I complete my conversion. It is not available in any of the catalogs, they show it in the illustrations, but no part numbers are given. I can't even get a part number from the parts manual I have. The valve should be removable, if you are talking about the Schrader valve at the front of the line near the drier, I was able to remove mine. If you are leaking from the switches however, they are available, I found them yesterday at Corvette Central. There is high pressure cut out switch and the fan control switch, altho they don't call them that, so read the descriptions carefully. Check in the a/c section of their online catalog and you'll find them. I'd call them to see if they have them in stock. As far as the high pressure line goes, you maybe able to find a used one or a NOS one at a dealer. As far as I can tell, they don't come with the 2 switches though.
Good luck!
