I have a 1989 corvette convertible. I have changed out all the speakers and had the amps rebuilt. I am only getting sound from the passenger side of the car. I bought a replacement radio (same stock radio from 1989 vette). I have not installed the radio yet. However, I am now told that my problem is probably the tuner which is not in the radio but a seperate component located in the dash.
In looking for a replacement I can find 1990 and newer but no tuners for 1989 and earlier. Is there such a device for 1989. These are the screwiest radios I have ever come accross.
In the words of Segorney Weaver in Galaxy Quest "Whoever wrote this episode should die" (insert made these radio's).
Only the head unit in dash. If you had only sound from one speaker, I would agree that it was a problem within the head unit, unless you had bad wiring/amp/speaker problems in the other 3. http://members.shaw.ca/agent86/Radio.pdf
